Umbrella Employee Service in Sweden — employment, tax and payroll under Swedish law

Received an invoice from Pay2me?

The person you hired is self-employed through us. Pay2me AB is your contracting party, invoices with Swedish F-tax status and carries the employer responsibility during the assignment – you simply pay the invoice.

How it works for you as a client

You hire a private individual without a company – Pay2me handles the contract, invoicing and employer responsibility.

  1. You agree on the assignment

You and the person you hire agree on scope, working routines and compensation. The agreement is documented in an assignment confirmation that the self-employed person can create in the Pay2me platform before invoicing.

  2. The work is carried out

During the assignment the person is intermittently employed by Pay2me. We carry the employer responsibility and report VAT, employer contributions and tax to the Swedish Tax Agency. You direct the work on site.

  3. You pay the invoice

Pay2me AB (reg. no. 559138-8276) issues the invoice and is your contracting party. Once the invoice is paid the assignment is considered delivered and approved, and we pay salary to the self-employed person.

What does hiring a self-employed professional mean?

Pay2me is an umbrella employment company. We make it possible for private individuals without a limited or sole proprietorship company to get paid for assignments. During the assignment the person is employed by us, and Pay2me becomes the legal contracting party towards you as the client.

This means you avoid hiring. You do not need to register as an employer, withhold tax or pay employer contributions – Pay2me handles all of it. You receive a regular invoice from a company with Swedish F-tax status and pay it like any supplier invoice.

The salary paid to the self-employed person can never exceed the amount you pay, less statutory taxes and fees. Holiday pay is included in the agreed compensation.

Your responsibility as a client

Pay2me's responsibility is limited to the administrative services we perform. You direct the assignment and are responsible for the work environment of the self-employed person in the same way as for your own staff. As the person directing the work you should in particular:

Address risks at the workplace so that illness and accidents are prevented when the self-employed person works at your premises or under your direction.

Be clear towards the self-employed person and Pay2me about the competence you need – the wrong person in the wrong place can lead to work injuries.

Provide a proper introduction covering tasks, routines, safety and risks, and make sure the instructions have been understood.

Contact the self-employed person and Pay2me before tasks change or new ones are added.

Report accidents and near misses to Pay2me.

Complaints, remarks and claims for price reductions are made directly to the self-employed person. Intellectual property created through the work belongs to the self-employed person unless otherwise agreed directly between you.
